Staff Bios

Charity – Aesthetician – Charity joined The Museum Spa & Laser Center in 2009. She started her career as a massage therapist and through that experience discovered her true love for skin care and medical esthetics. She has numerous certifications including advanced microdermabrasion, advanced knowledge in chemical peels, skin care specialist, and manual lymphatic drainage. This is her true calling, her passion; Charity was born to be a medical Aesthetician! She absolutely loves helping all her clients achieve their skin care needs. She loves spending time with her husband, three boys, and their furbabies. 

Emily – Aesthetician – Emily graduated with a BA in Communication Media in 2007, and continued her education as an Esthetician in 2010.  She graduated from Miller Motte College in the Aesthetics program and was chosen from her department to be a member of Alpha Beta Kappa National Honor Society.  Emily discovered her passion of skin care through her own struggle with acne in college.  She is an excellent skin care specialist and has extensive knowledge of advanced chemical peels and microdermabrasion.  She loves helping her clients achieve their skin care goals.  Emily grew up in Raleigh and loves this city!  She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, husband, Eric and daughter, Lucy.

Shannon – Patient Coordinator – Shannon is our full-time concierge and our go to girl. She has a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from UNCG and prior to starting a family she worked in the field of accounting.  After raising her two children, Shannon decided to go back to work…lucky for us! Shannon has been happily greeting clients of The Museum Spa & Laser Center since 2001. Her knowledge of our procedures and the kindness extended to our patients immediately sets everyone at ease.  Her favorite place in the world is the beach.

Allison – Patient Coordinator/Social Media/Special Events – Allison came to us as a satisfied client who was thrilled to become a part of our team! Her background is as varied as her role at the Museum Spa. She has vast experience as a designer, visual merchandiser & in the customer-service industries. Allison especially enjoys the personal interactions with spa clients & remains focused on building & maintaining lasting relationships with each one. She is enthusiastic about the array of services the spa offers & wants to get the word out!

Beth – Nurse Injector – BSN, Registered Nurse – Beth received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing.  Her past work experience includes ICU nursing at the North Carolina Memorial Hospital- Jaycee Burn Center, Cardiovascular Recovery Unit at Charlotte Memorial Hospital and Medical Center, The New York Hospital- Cornell Medical Center, and Plastic Surgery Nursing in private practices in New York, NY, and Raleigh, NC.  Beth has over thirty years of Plastic Surgery Nursing experience, including soft tissue filler injections, and Botox, Dysport and Xeomin treatments.   Beth has worked with Specialists In Plastic Surgery, PA and the Museum Spa and Laser Center, PLLC for over 15 years.  Beth is a Certified Physician Extender Injector, and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses (ASPSN).  She published an article “The Role of the Plastic Surgery Nurse Collagen Specialist” in Plastic Surgical Nursing Journal in 1990.  She has served on two medical relief teams to Kenya and Zambia, Africa.  Beth is married to Dr. Roger Russell- they have four children who live in Washington, DC, New York, NY, and Charlotte, NC.  Beth is a three-time marathon runner, enjoys golf, traveling, gardening and cooking.  Beth devotes much of her time and volunteer work to Hayes Barton United Methodist Church.

Amy – RN, Nurse Injector  Amy has been a nurse for over 18 years. Her vast experiences from urgent care to oncology have helped her to realize how looking better can help people feel better. This realization is what led her to esthetic nursing. Amy is formally trained in several advanced courses through Advanced Aesthetics. She quickly became a top selling injector in Upper Michigan for dermal fillers and Botox cosmetic. Amy is also certified in different laser therapies and continues to pursue training in all areas of esthetics. Amy’s approach to injections is through an organic connection with the patient that reflects a natural, youthful appearance. All of her patients are encouraged to discuss previous experiences, budget and questions of what to expect before and after. She strives for your cosmetic environment to be confidential and comfortable. “Your experience with me should be as good as your result.”
